 15 million+ Pink Salmon returning September 2011!
Book your guided spoon, jig or Fly fishing trips for Pink Salmon in 2011 on the Fraser river! the easiest of all salmon to catch and they love our flies and spoons!
Pink Salmon Fishing in the Fraser River valley and Vancouver ocean happens every 'odd numbered' year. Fraser river Pink salmon returns are typically large, in the tens of millions, so fishing can be very fast during their up-river migration. Our Fraser river fishing guides know where to go on the river to find these silver gems and we use covered or open jetboats providing you with the right equipment and expertise for a productive and enjoyable angling experience. Pinks are available from July-August along the Vancouver ocean beaches and Squamish river valley and then from late August, and all of September and early October in the Fraser river valley. Pink salmon average 5 lbs but every year we get them to 10-12 lbs. They are a very good fighting fish on light tackle, twisting, rolling, jumping and nice runs too!
Best ways to catch Pink salmon are either casting small pink spoons or jigs or fly-fishing. I have taken close to 100 Pinks in a single day on the fly, virtually every cast produces a strike. They are easy enough to fish for that Pinks make for good family fishing.
Silversides only fishes for Pinks with lures or fly and will never bottom bounce for these great biting sportfish.
